Summer calls for big vacations and plans, but when school ends, and work slows, people try to look for small and low-effort plans. Here’s a list of entertainment events to do over the summer.
- Second Sunday is a free music event hosted by Bragg Jam, a non-profit arts and entertainment festival, in downtown Macon, Coleman Hill. Every second Sunday of the month in Fall and Spring, Bragg Jam encourages everyone to attend and enjoy an evening of different genres, including country, rock, reggae, and soul. The next Second Sunday concert will take place on May 10th from 6 -8 p.m. For more information, please visit Braggjam.org.
- For those who are more interested in reading, the Middle Georgia Regional Library is hosting its 2026 Summer Reading Program Challenge. The challenge is open to all ages and encourages attendees to read 25 hours this summer to win weekly incentives. - The Social Duck is a newly installed duck pin bowling alley located at 476 2nd St, Macon, Ga. Their website states that prices are based on one hour sessions, $2 added for walk-ins and any party over 10. Bowlers are encouraged to complete the party form using this link. For those who are staying on campus this summer, they are offering unlimited bowling for $5 per person, for those with a valid college ID.

- Super Tuesday at Amstar Theatres is an event where every Tuesday you can enjoy $5.99 blockbusters movies and get deals on concessions. As well as their Free Summer Kids movies deal where every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., AmStar plays family-friendly movies. Click on this link to view updates about movie schedules.
