The Process of Glassblowing Will Amaze You
StARTup Studios held its grand opening on March 16 and provided live art demonstrations for the public to see. One of these demonstrations was a glassblowing demo by artist Jamie Adams. The event also held a live ceramics demonstration, beer tastings by local breweries, a silent auction and live music by local musicians.

Artist Jamie Adams uses wet newspaper to shape the molten glass into the shape of a fish. By using wet newspaper, the glass rides along a thin layer of steam and can be shaped without burning the paper or the artist’s hand according to the artists.
