With spring and summer right around the corner, let Macon Outside expand your road to adventure.

Whether planning for yourself or the family, Macon Outside is an opportunity to acquire insight and resources in planning and executing a memorable Middle Georgia nature experience. Middle Georgia is scattered with areas, parks and trails ideal for biking, boating, hiking or walking.

Sponsored by Bike Tech Macon, Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions, Oconee Outfitters and Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen, Macon Outside is an informational event designed to help people discover the best locations for various outdoor activities.

The event was inspired as a way to connect people within the Middle Georgia area to the possibilities and availability of outdoor exploration and entertainment. While this event promotes local outdoor experience, the event will be held entirely indoors.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. Feb. 22 with booths provided for information, volunteering and advocacy. Macon Outside will feature Robert Jordan an Engineer, local adventurer and nature enthusiast from Monticello.

Around 7:00 p.m. Jordan will present on the 7 Islands Road, one of the oldest roads in America, rich in a history which runs deep through Georgia and time.

The event is free, family friendly and will have door prizes provided by the sponsors. Reservations are not required and food and beverages will be available for purchase from Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen.

Whether you’re a nature guru, grass novice or pavement enthusiast, come out and enjoy.
