Fine Fettle Georgia welcomed Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller and members of the Georgia General Assembly for a tour of its 118,000-square-foot plant for growing marijuana for medicinal purposes.
The $35 million to $40 million investment on Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard in the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority’s Ocmulgee East Industrial Park is expected to eventually employ up to 200 workers as the company eventually creates about 50,000 square feet of growing canopy.
Georgia currently has about 20,000 people licensed to receive medical cannabis products, according to Fine Fettle executives. The company plans to open medical dispensaries in Macon, Athens, Decatur, Evans, Peachtree Corners and Smyrna.
At its Macon facility, Fine Fettle Georgia will be producing a variety of cannabis products such as tablets, soluble powder, topical ointments and tinctures that will be fine-tuned for a patient’s needs.
Fine Fettle operates in Connecticut and Massachusetts with both recreational and medical dispensaries.
