Tattoos are a form of self-expression, and while in the past they may have been a symbol of rebellion, or parental negligence, today tattoos represent another layer of someone’s personal style. Several students at Mercer have gotten inked before or during their journey at college. People get tattoos for all sorts of reasons: to commemorate an event or memory, in honor of a person or thing that they love, or just because they thought it would look cool. A dedication to your childhood or favorite family member or favorite song lyrics are a few things many people get tattooed.. Regardless of size, color, detail, or meaning, all tattoos are a unique way of showing off your personality.
