Mercer police officer and retired U.S. Marine, Gus Moore has never let his passion for color guard detail die. 

On Thursday, Moore honored Memorial Day and the victims of the Wednesday shooting at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in San Jose, California where 10 people were killed, by lowering all Mercer campus’ flags to half-staff. 

Moore said, “Being responsible in having the honor of doing this is one of those treasures anybody that has ever served in uniform will take with them.”
