Tiny Tour: The Historic Macon Foundation

The Historic Macon Foundation is a membership organization dedicated to rejuvenation of the Macon community by preserving the city’s history and architecture. This particular video focuses on one of their past projects, Fire Hall No.4. This Fire Hall was built in 1870 and according to the Executive Director of Historic Macon, Ethiel Garlington, “believed to be the oldest surviving brick fire hall in the state of Georgia.” This video features not only the Fire Hall, but the office of the Historic Macon Foundation, which has made itself at home with these walls. The interior has been completely renovated, however there are still a few touches left from its past days.
