Animals have been a fundamental part of human lives for thousands of years. There is nothing better than finding a companion in “man’s best friend.” Here are some of the local dog owners who have found their best animal friends.
“Adopt, don’t shop! He’s 3 years old, the biggest lover and he just wants to kiss everyone and snuggle,” said Myers.
“Chloe is a dachshund and chiwawa mix. She’s 13, she loves long walks, and she thinks she’s the only dog in America,” said Keller.
“I’m a teacher, so during Christmas break I was just trying to find a dog park and we came the first time and everyone was so kind and it’s just great. It’s amazing that it’s here, there should be more of them,” said Martin.
“He’s a 9-year-old Doberman, very housebroken and calm and collected. He’s not headstrong or anything like that,” said Keener.
“This lady here with the bag, putting the bandanas on the dogs, she’s with the animal rescue. She and my son have an animal rescue deal. He (Buddy) was a part of a liter where the fellow wanted help getting his dog spayed and she was pregnant. So he was a part of the liter,” said Freeman.
“She’s a rescue. I got her when we were down in Florida. She’s about 3 years old and I’ve had her for about two years. She loves playing with other dogs,” said Anderson.
“Our daughter was actually looking for a puppy and found them from a breeder near us. We went to get one but we ended up getting two,” said Kris Collens.
“We are actually here on some training for him (Lee), he’s working on interacting better with big dogs and not being so bird-brained while around other dogs.”
