What happened to the bell that was in Central City Park?

Macon Me Curious set out to solve the mystery of the missing steamboat bell that once hung at the Central City Park.  The question was posed through Macon Me Curious, a project of the Center for Collaborative Journalism in partnership with The Telegraph and GPB Macon. Macon Me Curious takes questions from the community and assigns reporters to find the answers.

GPB Macon reporter, Sophie Peel spoke to Muriel Jackson, the Head of Genealogy and the Middle Georgia Archives Room at the Washington Memorial Library, to try and answer the mystery of the Central City Park bell.
