Georgia Attorney General’s Office gets mixed grade

C for ease of contact but A for response

Agency contacted: Georgia Attorney General’s Office

Records that were requested: Copy of active contracts related to the Statewide Opioid Task Force.

When do you first hear back from the agency?  I heard back on October 18 and I filled it on October 13. It took them 3 business days.

Did agency request a fee? No they did not request a fee.

Describe the response. The agency wrote back to me saying a search of their records does not indicate documents that are responsive to this request.

Assign a grade for contact/processI would give this agency a C. They get a C because the agency website has contact information for staff but there are not specific email addresses, phone numbers, or information about how to request public information from their office. I had to look for a staff member that could possibly help me with this request, so it wasn’t the easiest trying to find where to request public information.

Assign a grade for response: A They responded to me and acknowledged the request I put in but they said they had no documents for it.

Anything else to note? No

See the full report card here.
