Tattoos and the stories behind them
Tattoos are more than ink on skin. According to Inked Magazine, the reasoning for getting tattoos changes over time. The first could have a lot of meaning, but the more you get the less importance each session has. For some people, it could be a whim or to honor a loved one. While others use their ink to express their creativity.
Everyone has different stories attached to their tattoos. Below are six people in Macon and a deeper look at their ink.
“This is my tattoo. I got it freshman year very impulsively. I knew I wanted a tattoo but I really didn’t think that much about them,” Madison Mermelstein said. “I got a rose and I got it in a very convenient place, so when I do pre-law you can’t see it. Now that I have it, I want more, but more meaningful ones. Like, I have a whole list planned out.”
