Koe Wetzel Damn Near Normal
Depending on who you’re talking to, singer-songwriter Koe Wetzel’s music is a blend of rock and country, a fusion of country and grunge, straight up outlaw country or hillbilly punk-rock. Any way you cut it, he puts on quite a show, though probably not for young children (he’s known for mature subject matter and explicit language).

Classics at the Bibb
How can you miss Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo in drag on an epic road trip? The 1995 film “To Wong Fu, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” was a box-office smash that earned Golden Globes for Swayze and Leguizamo. Head down to The Bibb Theatre to watch the show projected on the theatre’s facade.

Highway Prayers
Grammy award-winning bluegrass musician and guitarist Billy Strings may be young (31), but he’s got a lot of life experience to draw on and he brings in the crowds. He’s performed with Phish, Sam Bush, Del McCoury, Widespread Panic and plenty more one tour and at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Merlefest, Lollapalooza and other festivals around the country. His new album, “Highway Prayers” is out — you can sample it below and then head to Fresh Produce Records to hear the entire thing at their listening party.

The Grand Opera House is rolling out the red carpet for Broadway Does Pride!, a “night of sensational performances that celebrate our shared journey of love, acceptance, and unity.” From Rent’s “Measure Your Life in Love” to Madonna’s “Vogue”, this intimate lounge show features Macon talent performing fresh and campy twists on crowd favorites.
