Strap in y’all because this is going to be a long one. It’s Bragg Jam weekend and we’re super excited! If you’re new to Macon, Bragg Jam was created as a memorial to Macon brothers Brax and Tate Bragg. It is one of the most anticipated annual events in middle Georgia. We’ve got the full rundown below, plus plenty of other fun stuff … but first, something new.

Marvel vs. DC Trivia Night
Come test your superhero/villain knowledge. Dress up and enjoy Superman ice cream floats (make them boozy!). Where are the Deadpool/Wolverine fans? Head to Society Garden for a night of fun.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday, July 26 – 28
Bragg Jam features more than 24 local, regional and national acts performing on stages across Macon. Some venues are open to all; others are 21+. And if you’ve got kids, you can still have plenty of fun. Proceeds benefit the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and other local civic improvements. We’ve got details on the main events below, but first — there’s pre-gaming!
Friday – aka The Night Before The Thing
6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Celebrate Bragg Jam by painting your way to the rhythm of your favorite summer songs. Paint your own way or Artspace Macon can provide a pre-drawn summer-themed canvas, neon colors, and an array of collage materials to make a vibrant statement. 7 p.m. Start the weekend early with a free show featuring Joelton Mayfield, 100 Watt Horse, Michael Suhr, and DJ Friendship. Check them out below! Admission is free, but reservation is required; Grants Lounge, 576 Poplar Street, 31201. NOTE: This is a 21+ event.
10 p.m. Alex Stone Trio, headed by Alex Stone of Direwoof, performs at Vice Bar, 499 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, 31201.
Saturday – Bragg Jam Concert Crawl (and some other fun stuff)
9 a.m. Compete in a Pickleball Round Robin at Rhythm & Rally for a chance to win VIP tickets to the Concert Crawl! There are two groups: Beginner and Intermediate. Register online here.
12 p.m. Start your Bragg Jam Day with The Society Garden’s kid-friend “Bragg Fam”! Enjoy a bounce house, free face painting and balloon artist, music by B3 and Kelley Dixson, a meet and greet with Fairytales & Friends, and so much more. Tickets are $10 for an adult with up to four kids. Purchase in advance or at the door.
4:30 p.m. BRAGG JAM CONCERT CRAWL gets underway in downtown Macon. With 24 bands spread across six venues (full lineup here), you’ve got options, options, options! Purchase your tickets in advance and before you start on your musical adventure, be sure to grab a refreshing gourmet popsicle from Frios Macon pop-up outside Bragg Jam HQ on Poplar Street.

Creative Crafters
Does your kid love to make art? Here’s a chance to foster their imagination while making a Mythical Lantern. This class is aimed at kids age 7-12 and is taught by an artist and an IB-certified teacher. All supplies and a light snack are included.
