Get in touch with both your creative and do-it-yourself sides at this self-directed ceramics class. Attendees receive three pounds of clay to mold into whatever takes their fancy. Admission fee covers clay, tools and one kiln firing.

Orleans at The Grand Opera House
Though their greatest hits debuted in the 1970s, Orleans still draws a crowd. The “Still The One” group, still going strong after 50 years together (in various forms), bring their biggest hits to The Grand.

Disco Night with the Macon Pops at Emerson at Plum
This fund-raiser for the Macon Pops will feature a live auction with Macon Pops Signature Events, catering by Fountain of Juice, signature cocktails and disco music performed by the Macon Pops. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their 1970s disco-era best.

Super Bowl Watch Party at Hightails
Watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl this year while overlooking downtown Macon. Hightails, the roof-top bar at the Hotel 45 is hosting a Super Bowl watch party and will have specials on beer, wine, wings and nachos.

Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra at the Grand Opera House
Mercer alumnus Keitaro Harada leads the joint Mercer music student and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a night featuring the most romantic classical music written. The works of Verdi, Yoshimatsu and Ravel are on the program during this swoon-worthy night of music.

Galentine’s Day Custom Hat Workshop
“Parks and Recreation” character Leslie Knope introduced the world to “Galentine’s Day,” the special day before Valentine’s Day when you celebrate your best gal pals. The Burke Mansion is hosting a custom hat workshop on Galentine’s. Instructors from Fox + Ren Co. will lead attendees on how to decorate a hat using techniques such as embroidery, applique, and vintage accessories. All supplies are provided. In addition, there will be a cocktail hour with sweet treats included.

Paint Your Partner at ArtSpace Macon
Artspace supplies everything attendees need at their “Paint Your Partner” event (well, except a partner. You’ll need to handle that yourself). Couples can stare at each other as much as they want in order to create a homemade portrait of their Valentine.
