Watercolor and Wine at the 567 Center for Renewal
Get creative on a Thursday at the 567. Artist Brandi Byromleads the class in creating a 9×12 watercolor painting of a snowman. Alcohol isn’t sold at the 567, so if you plan on imbibing, make sure to bring your own.

Selfies with Santa – Final Night at Poplar Street Park
Time seems to go faster during the holidays. There is so much to do in so little time. If pictures with Santa seem to have fallen by the wayside, NewTown Macon is offering one final chance to snap selfies with ol’ Kris Kingle. Make sure to bring your own camera (or don’t forget your phone) since Santa doesn’t have a photographer with him.

Winter Wonderlights at State Botanical Garden of Georgia at UGA
Take a road trip to Athens to see the State Botanical Gardens lit up and decorated for Christmas. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., but a whole day trip to UGA may be just the thing to distract kids on break and keep them from climbing the walls.

Second Night of Kwanzaa at the Douglass Theatre
The Douglass Theatre is celebrating the second night of Kwanzaa (the night celebrating self-determination) with an open-mic youth talent show. Presented by the Kwanzaa Cultural Access Center and Torchlight Academy. The event is free and open to the public.
