The Mercer women’s basketball team played the University of South Alabama on Sunday, December 4. After following the team for two days during practice I was able to see their hard work come to fruition when they defeated the Jaguars 64-46. The team has to work hard this year to make up for starters and older players that they have lost. Only about four players who played significant minutes last year returned this season and they have gained five freshmen and two transfers. The team got off on a rocky start to their 2022-2023 season, but with hard work they will be able to bounce back.
