Mercer University Christmas Tree Lighting
In the midst of final exams, last-minute Christmas shopping, and a to-do list that seems to never end, Mercer University students are welcomed with a much-needed break from it all at the end of every fall semester. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting event is a Mercer holiday tradition hosted by the Student Government Association and Quadworks. It draws hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and their families to Willingham Auditorium for carols led by the Mercer Singers, a Christmas meditation, and an entertaining Christmas reading with a little Mercer spin on it! The event concludes with the lighting of the Mercer Christmas tree and Winter Wonderland in Mercer Village. Clubs and organizations all around campus host activities related to winter and the Christmas holiday for all to enjoy.
