Mayor Lester Miller hosted Tuesday’s public hearing over renaming part of Anthony Road for the late music educator Robert Scott.

Liquor store owners confused over Macon-Bibb County’s new alcohol renewal date will get an exception to the moratorium on new licenses under a measure approved by the County Commission Tuesday.

Commissioners also voted on a language plan required for grant funding from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to make sure funds reach all segments of the population. That item had not been previously publicized but was added to the agenda at the start of the meeting due to a pending deadline.
