The Sound of Birdsong at Mercer University
As Mercer students study on Cruz plaza in late February, birds announce the change in weather and approach of Spring. The winter has been a cold and rainy one, and so the combination of warm air and blue sky is a welcome shift. Cruz plaza, a central location on campus, often features students picnicking, studying, napping, or playing frisbee, especially as summer approaches. For now, it is still fairly quiet, and so one can hear the birds in surrounding trees. Mercer campus is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, squirrels, and a variety of stray cats.
