Fast and easy ways to spice up your meals during quarantine

While adjusting to spending life in quarantine, one thing that everyone tends to miss at one point or another is eating out. At some point, it may begin to feel like your meals are getting redundant and just don’t seem to cut it anymore.

Here are some tips to spice up some foods you have at home to have a restaurant flair. I’ll recreate three easy recipes: Red Lobster biscuits, easy Buffalo slides and whipped coffee.

Red Lobster Biscuits

  1. Remove biscuits from freezer and set aside to start thawing while preheating oven according to directions on the package
  2. Scoop butter (2 tablespoons-ish) into a microwave-safe container (e.g. a mug) and microwave in 15-second intervals until melted
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and parmesan into melted butter and mix
  4. Drizzle a small amount of melted butter onto the top of each biscuit (should have ½ to ⅔ of the butter mixture remaining after this step)
  5. Bake biscuits for half the time specified by the package (this will differ depending on what brand you have and how many biscuits are in the package)
  6. Remove from oven and spoon rest of butter mixture over the top of the biscuits (I like to use the side of the spoon to cut a shallow x into the top of the biscuit so that the butter can absorb more evenly throughout the biscuit)
  7. Bake for the rest of the time required
  8. Enjoy!

Easy and quick buffalo chicken sliders

It feels like everyone at some point or another has a bag of frozen chicken nuggets hiding in the back of their freezer. Follow this recipe to put those nuggets to good use by making some quick and easy buffalo chicken sliders! This recipe should take no more than a few minutes.

  1. For this recipe, you will need frozen chicken nuggets, wing sauce, and hawaiian sweet rolls.
  2. Remove the chicken nuggets from the oven and preheat the oven depending on what is on your package.
  3. Line a baking sheet and place nuggets onto the sheet. Baste wing sauce unto the nuggets and ensure that it is coated evenly. Place nuggets into the oven.
  4. Toast and butter the Hawaiian rolls as you would like.
  5. Assemble the rolls.
  6. Enjoy!

Whipped Coffee

Whipped Coffee, otherwise known as Dalgona Coffee, has become the talk of the town. With only three ingredients, this recipe will change the way you drink coffee forever.

  1. Add hot water, sugar, and instant coffee to the bowl. NOTE: It is imperative that your coffee is instant coffee, otherwise this recipe will not work.
  2. Either hand whisk or use an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and light.
  3. To serve, spoon a dollop over a cup of milk with ice in it and stir.
  4. Enjoy!
