A Fair-ly Good Time

Every year during October in Perry, Georgia, traffic on I-75 gets heavier in both the north and south bound lanes. Why? Because, this time of year is when the infamous Georgia National Fair comes around, and people from all over come to experience the sights, smells, and smiles of the fair. Among the attractions are livestock exhibits, midway games, various food trucks, and all sorts of carnival rides. Some nights feature a concert series from country artists. Georgia grown products are also available for purchase in one of the multipurpose buildings. The fair will run through October 13th, with admission being $10 at the gate for ages 11 and up. Children under 10 get in free with a paying adult and senior adult tickets are $8. The fair gates open at 8 a.m.
