Macon Bike Party Ingleside Social 

The folks over at Bike Walk Macon will lead this slow-paced community bike ride through the Vine-Ingle area. Registration and the starting point will be Society Garden. The outing will start at 6:30 p.m. During the ride, the group will have a pit stop at Jefferson Long Park for a quick yoga session and will end the ride back at Society Garden. Attendees should bring their own bikes and helmets.

Friday, March 10

Macon Sculpture Walk Party at the 567 Center for Renewal

The Macon Sculpture Walk brings the work of sculpture artists to downtown Macon’s streets. Currently, there are six sculptures downtown but the 567 Center for Renewal will be unveiling an additional three sculptures on Friday, one of which was created by local artist Tameka Phillips. The sculptures are leased for a year by the 567, but then are available for purchase by local businesses, people or organizations that will keep them downtown. The celebration for the newest sculptures will feature the three artists in a casual setting for a meet and greet. In addition, there will be a glass blowing demonstration outside the 567.

Southern Momma & Friends Comedy Tour at the Hargray Capitol Theatre 

Comedian Darren Knight brings his internet sensation “Southern Momma” character to the Hargray on Saturday. Knight brings with him comedians Red Squirrel, Gary Cargal and Robin “Phoenix” Johnson.

Second Sunday featuring Dustin McCook at Coleman Hill

Bragg Jam’s Second Sunday series of free live music is back at Coleman Hill park after a pandemic absence. This first performer of the spring series of monthly shows will be singer/songwriter/guitarist Dustin McCook. It is sure to be a not-to-miss show for fans of old school, guitar heavy rock and roll.

Amerson River Park

With the warming temperatures and the first blossoming of spring, it’s the best time to explore Macon’s natural beauty (before the pollen gets bad, and we all know it will). A walk around Amerson River Park’s 3.5 miles of paved trails that follow the Ocmulgee River is a great way to spend an early Monday evening.
