Bibb County has one of the highest rates of pedestrian deaths in Georgia.
In 2023, there were 15 pedestrian deaths including a bicyclist. Five of those deaths were hits-and-run. People killed on roads in Bibb County in 2023 include:
January 20: Stephanie Renee Glover, age 39
February 5: Alexis Davison, age 49
February 7: Betty Jackson, age 56
March 15: Tracie Y. Pitts, age 46
April 5: Joseph S. Skinner, age 40
April 24: Shamaar Palmer, age 11
May 7: Janet V. Green-Towles, age 82
July 5: Terry L. Crump, age 32
August 12: Waford Bolen, age 37
August 27: Christopher Williams, age 23
September 7: Freddie Evans, age 67
October 9: Sebastian Lee Hack, age 19
October 13: Devonte Levon Kyles, age 26
November 4: Anthonette S. Williamson, age 57
December 17: Christopher Lipman, age 44 *Lipman died Jan. 5, 2024
In 2021, a record 17 people were killed on foot here. Three of those fatalities were hits-and-run.
In 2022, there were 17 pedestrian fatalities including two bicyclists. Seven of those deaths were reportedly hits-and-run.
